A critique of society wrapped in rock-metal riffs, sprinkled with a dose of punk rock and mixed with changes of tempo and rhythm as well as a lot of energy – this is what the three members of the Regensburg band Raveslut are all about. The straightforward lyrics have a critical content on society, often with aggressive humour, and describe their own experiences and views on their lives and the band.

The band was founded in January 2015 in Regensburg by Thomas, lyricist, lead singer and bass player. Soon after, they wrote their first personal songs, such as “Circus of Horror” as a metaphor for the circus of society, Cocaine Banana for the discovery of millions of cocaine in banana crates in a German supermarket chain and the song Raveslut, which serves as a self-portrait and a controversial but humorous counterpoint to widespread electro music. The band decided to enter the competition for the chance to play in France, to network and above all to represent the underground music scene in Regensburg.
