The first European student platform is entering its final phase, with the grand European finale set to take place on April 18th in Stord, Norway, organized by the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL)!
During the months of February and March, the campuses of the four associated universities were alive with a variety of sounds and emotions. It was a crucial moment for the 18 student artists hoping to secure a spot in the European final.
From folk to pop, rock to hip-hop, and traditional music, all genres were represented in the four finals in Regensburg (Germany), Bergen (Norway), Constanţa (Romania), and Clermont-Ferrand (France). For this second edition, the public once again showed up: students were there to support their peers, and student associations offered activities on Europe and music.
These unforgettable evenings revealed the four artists who will represent their university in the European final: Awake the Demons (Romania), Inmanis (Norway), The Djingerbread Experience (Germany), and FoxHole (Clermont-Ferrand)!
Awake the Demons (Universitatea Ovidius din Constanţa – Constanța, Romania)
Do you want metal, real metal? Awake the Demons delivers explosive metalcore, blending powerful riffs and captivating melodies. Their compositions are filled with raw emotional intensity and unleashed energy. With original staging, the group surprises the audience at every concert.
Inmanis (Western Norway University of Applied Sciences – Bergen, Norway)
The Norwegian combo convinced the jury at Kronbar with their progressive rock and sonic experiments. Inmanis takes us on a musical journey through complex compositions and soaring landscapes. A unique, enigmatic, and unforgettable sonic experience!
The Djingerbread Experience (Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule – Regensburg, Germany)
The Djingerbread Experience offers an intense metal experience, merging powerful riffs with frenetic rhythms and striking vocals. Their music is charged with raw energy and a dark ambiance, creating an immersive atmosphere that plunges listeners into a captivating whirlwind of sound.
FoxHole (Université Clermont Auvergne – Clermont-Ferrand, France)
Initially high school friends passionate about rock, FoxHole has carved its way through over 80 concerts. Inspired by the punk rock of the Ramones and the Stooges, their sincere and raw music reflects their identity. With their first EP “Glitters and Napalm” in 2018, followed by the album “Semper Fi” in December 2020, and “Jack of Heart” in 2023, the band remains true to its DIY roots, composing with a vision of the world that is uniquely theirs.
We don’t know if it’s the magnetism of the place hosting the European finale (Norway) but it seems that a metal wind is blowing in this second edition of Europavox Campus. Get your leather jackets out, see you on April 18th in Stord!
