Democracy in Music
Context
Recorded during the springboard finale week in Norway, this podcast series perfectly embodies what Europavox Campus is all about: Music, Youth and Europe.
From their boat moored in Stord harbor, the hosts -aka the “Explorers” team- spoked out on topical issues close to their hearts and decided to focus on the link between music and democracy.
Acting as intermediaries to disseminate the voice of young Europeans, these 9 content creators interviewed Europavox Campus participants, gathering their testimonials and opinions in three episodes.
Episode summary
What if music were another democratic language? In this second episode, Théo and Antonin debate the lessons that democracy could learn from music. Orchestras, bands and protest songs are all places where individual interests can be reconciled in favor of the collective. Let’s discover the unsuspected democratic side of music!
