The 2024 edition Europavox Campus, the first European musical springboard for students, had its finale recently in Norway, after a week of discovery, togetherness, and music!
This year, the four finalists were selected in each of their four universities, before getting together in Norway, from April 15th to 19th, during European Youth Week, for an unforgettable experience. From the location on the small island of Stord, to the people involved, the stars aligned for this week to go perfectly.
In fact, Stord is known for its ties with culture and scholarship, as it is one of the first campuses to feature artistic training. It was the perfect setting for a week filled with cultural blending and activities between people of four different nationalities.
The mood was also set by the unique accommodation that welcomed the students, as they all slept… on a boat! Sharing space to play music and work together, musicians, explorers, university teams and partners were all able to connect and bond over themes of music and Europe during the week, creating friendships and making memories.
What would this project have been without performances? Everyone was thrilled to experience live music from The Djingerbread Experience, Awake the Demons, Inmanis and Foxhole, who really brought their punk and metal energy to the tranquil island! And after witnessing the four acts, winners were decided… and Inmanis went home with the win!
Every single band showed true professionalism and put their best performance on display for everyone to enjoy. At the end of the day, it felt like more than a musical springboard. Everyone will remember this edition of Europavox Campus as a genuine human experience, but probably with ringing ears!
All in all, it is the participants who can talk about it best, as they did in their travel reports on the Europavox Campus website :
